Markus (Hårek) Great combination of fast paced music and with a more mellow sound pallete. Keeping the golden era sound, while also incorporating modern production really elevates the ep as a whole. Great music for both relaxing and and dancing. Really excited to see this guy play live in Trondheim the 13. january 2023. Gonna be a blast. Favorite track: Nesttun Sentrum.

about

POSNER - good4me (KIM DÜRBECK REMIX) (2023)
With a deep-rooted passion for pushing boundaries and a knack for transforming soundscapes, Kim Dürbeck, co-head of LEK Records, debuts on Mhost Likely with a remix of Posner’s ‘good4me’. Dürbeck transformed "good4me" into a sonic adventure of pulsating rhythms, hypnotic beats, and a jungle-infused vibe that will capture the audience from start to end. Kim Dürbeck is a Vietnamese-Norwegian experimental club music producer and DJ from Sandefjord, Norway. Influenced by Ambient, Acid, Techno, Jungle and Breakcore. Kim serves a different expression into the future sound of Vietnamese electronic music.

POSNER - DRUM MUSIC (2022)
Bergen-born producer, Posner, rolls out his first EP full of captivating breaky rhythms with ambient and jazzy harmonies, as he puts out his first debut release on the Mhost Likely White series. ‘Drum Music’ is a five-tracker where Posner pours his inner emotions into an ambient Drum and Bass canvas.

The opening track ‘Startup Sound’ glides into dreamy pads, heavy sub-bass, and breaks creating a deeply nostalgic feeling. The emotive aura continues with ‘Dykkerpsyke’ that pulses with a darker intensity as the pads become more twisted, and rhythms more compact. Trapped underwater, alone, on the bottom of the sea, isolated realness.

Good4me changes the mood. Light drum structures dance over beautiful harmonies inducing hope and sadness at the same time. The track was made after a heavy winter depression, where suddenly positive a realization is made - “being alone is good for me”.

‘Nesttun Sentrum’ is a beautiful D'n'B chugger that moves around delightful textures painting a feeling of comfort. The theme of comfort moves into the last and heavy syncopated track called ‘Rue Francoeur’. The ending theme is beautiful, the tones are introspective and vulnerable, and there is a looming presence of uncertainty that subtly takes form in thinly layered pads. A triumph in time stretched breaks that move around ambient soundscapes.
